Overview & context
At Precor (Peloton Commercial), I worked on the operating system for the touchscreen consoles on the next generation of workout machines.
Our goal was to reimagine and design an OS that:
facilitates comprehensive oversight of the exerciser's personalized fitness journey
drives social engagement
supports studio-published workout content
is part of a connected fitness experience that extends beyond the machine
The old OS
The legacy OS on the consoles was first introduced in 2013 and lacked the following features:
Performance tracking (during and post-workout only)
Varying types of workouts (pre-configured or customized)
Limited 3rd party workouts
Limited media apps (E.g. Netflix, Spotify, etc)
The user interface was severely outdated and inaccessible in some areas of the product.
NextGen OS is a complete re-imagining of this experience.

Conclusion
As one of the Product Designers on this team, I had a large impact on the designs of individual features (i.e. My Stats) and the operating system as a whole.
I was involved in user research, concept development, design iterations, high-fidelity visual designs, user testing, and design QA.
Through collaboration with our fitness scientists, Marketing, content studios, Engineering, and leadership we successfully designed a completely new experience for exercisers.
